Streets & Trips 2013 GPX export not importing into Basecamp software

I have been using Streets and Trips 2010 for some time and exporting GPX file into Basecamp to send to Garmin Nuvi. Recently upgraded to Streets and Trips 2013 and now BaseCamp can not read the GPX file that the Streets nd Trips 2013 created. Gives error message: unknown error.

This is not a BaseCamp problem; Streets and Trips 2013 is creating invalid gpx files. There is a workaround near the end of this page: http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/2380-review-microsoft-streets-trips-p4

I opened a case with Microsoft and they have filed an official bug on both 2011 and 2013 Streets and Trips. They know that it doesn't export good GPX files yet they are still selling it. Another good work around is GPSbabel and it's free to download from the net.
