Still playing with my new Oregon 550t, and I downloaded Birdseye. Now my Topo map has completely disappeared and all I have is the Global and Birdeye. I really need that Topo map and it seems to have disappeared?
Setup -> Map -> Map Information. You can turn off/on Birdseye images (and/or maps) there by touching the appropriate panel. You'll get the following options for Birdseye
* Enable - Brighter * Enable - Bright * Enable - Normal * Disable <--- this one
Got it! There's something I'm learning about this GPS that doesn't apply to any other electronics I've owned: In most electronics, the "setup" option is typically something you set one time and forget. ( like time, date and other options). I never thought of going back to Setup for anything... once I had set everything up the way I wanted. It appears that Setup is MORE than that, it's actually just one more option to use... often.
