Fenix not uploading to Connect

Replacement Fenix unit will not upload tracks to Garmin Connect.
It will to Basecamp, and I can manually upload the file from the mass storage mode when the Fenix is connected.

Tried changing export from .gpx to FIT/gpx: no effect

Running latest versions of all software on Fenix, Mac etc.

This did not happen with a previous fenix.

Any help gratefully received (I have done reset)

    By any chance are you running on a case-sensitive HFS+ filesystem? It's not the default (HFS+ is by default case preserving but case insensitive), but as an old Unix hand I prefer case-sensitive and go through the trouble of reformatting the disk on any new machines I get. Anyway, that can cause problems when certain typos are made in Internet plugins and applications, including Communicator. For example, in /Library I have this symbolic link (alias in Mac speak)

    lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 17 Jun 22 2011 Internet Plug-ins -> Internet Plug-Ins

    which I put there because of a typo in a resource file in a plugin, possibly Communicator. I uploaded a file from my Fenix to Connect yesterday using Communicator, so I know it works on my Mac Pro running 10.8.2.

    Thanks for the reply.

    This is not, unfortunately, the issue as it occurs with 2 other macs.
