GpsMap 62s - subfolder

I need to store my tracks (gpx format) on some subfolders placed under "Garmi/GPX/archive" folder of my GpsMAP 62s (software version 4.50).
I've connect my GpsMap 62s to the pc and then I've created three subfolders where I've placed some gpx file (see the below attached screenshoot).

After that, I've disconnect the device and rebooted it.
Startup was fine but if I try to open "track manager" and then "archive" my GpsMAP stop working and I need to reboot.
If I the same gpx under "Garmi/GPX/archive" without any subfolder all works fine.
Is this a bug or a missed feature?

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish. Never considered adding sub-folders to the archive folder. I do however, have an "achive" folder on my 62s SD card where I "hide" things from the GPS but, still want to store them on the device. I use Windows to manage this.

Well I use my GpsMAP to record different activities like "outdoor", "mtb" and so on.
Basically I want to build a simple "track archive" based on kind of activities, year and month.

For example:
---> outdoor
|
---> 2012
|
---> January
---> ...
---> December
---> MTB
|
---> 2012
|
---> January
---> ...
---> December

Each month folder can contain one ore more gpx file's.
So, if needed, I can find and show previously recorded tracks based on criteria.
All of that directly on device and without a pc
Hope that now question is more clear.. ;-)

AFAIK, you can't select of folder (or sub folder) when archiving tracks on the device...they just go into the GPX\archive folder by default. Looks like what you want to do would have to be done via a computer which is what you are trying to avoid.

Exactly!I think that I'll try to post a request under "feature wanted" of this forum and... hope/wait for a Garmin interests...
