My Nuvi 40LM, purchased in August, was working fine until recently when it started offering routes for places that were half an hour away - which by their own estimation would take close to four hours. I live in NJ, 12 miles west of NYC, and when I try to plot a route, it takes me up through northerm NJ into upstate NY, finally arriving at my destination, but through a ridiculous route. (Not just one destination, many different instances) I have changed settings from shortest route to fasted route again and again. I have updated maps online. Any suggestions?
