I thought I would ask any input about this issue from the community before I proceed to Garmin support.
I own a Nuvi 2455LT. Recently, traffic reception on this unit has been very poor. When I plug my receiver in, the traffic screen says "searching for service" with no bars on the bar indicator. After a few minutes, the screen switches to " poor reception for X amount of minutes, with no traffic to display. I have tried everything from different mounting techniques to clearing the FM tables, and nothing seems to work. On good days, I may get three bars of reception, but this is very rare. I am well within the Cleveland coverage area. I have even tried placing the unit, along with the cord, on the dashboard in clear view of the sky, with no luck.
Does anyone have any other reception tips or any possible fixes?
