Has this common problem been fixed yet?
In the past when this has happened if I shut the unit off, turned it back on, poked my finger on the display for tools, poked my finger on the display for Media Player, I might be able to hit the play button and get music. If not, do it all over again.
The problem is that I have to find a safe place to pull over onto the side of the road, or exit the road I'm on to find a safe place. Aside from wasting my time shutting the unit on and off, kick stand down lean bike over, get unit running. bike up right, kick stand up waste my time. Since I've recently started riding with a group, pulling over means I have to signal to the group that Im Ok, so that they keep going.
Or, while riding down the road, one hand off handle bar to play around with the OFF button which doesn't respond well to a finger surrounded by crash gloves; keep hitting the ON button till' the switched is depressed, wait for the unit to load, push the screen for tools, push the screen for MP3 player, push screen to play music.
During all of that time with one hand not on the handle bar, and my eyes jumping from the screen back to the road, I'm giving up safety.
Soon, I'll be receiving another replacement unit from Garmin. If the MP3 file not found problem hasn't been solved, I'll sell the unit and find a reliable, safe way to hear music.
