Nexus 7 or Chromebook work with GC?

Will either or one of these work with GC?

Traveling, I've been using an old painfully slow netbook to access GC and connect to an Edge 705. I've been thinking of getting a Nexus 7 tablet or perhaps the new Chromebook for this purpose and general web access when traveling. The tablet has a single micro USB port type connector. The Chromebook has two dedicated USB ports. I'm pretty sure the Chromebook would work but I'd prefer the small size and weight of the tablet if that would work.

  • I have a chromebook and an android phone. I just bought an FR15, seems I'm out of luck on a lot of functionality. Is this an accurate assessment of the situation? I'm just unpacking the FR15 and going through the setup...and I'm not finding the info for us Chromebook users. Am I missing it?

How does the Edge sync? Does it use Bluetooth? If so, you should be able to sync using a Nexus 7 AS LONG AS IT'S the 2013 model, not the 2012. The 2013 model has the BT HARDWARE needed for BLE. The USB port on the Nexus isn't the "host" end, and is used for charging and to connect to a host - plus there's no google SW to use it for something like a garmin
