Move some activities to different account - Is it possible?

I have a Garmin 305 which i share with my wife. All our data is loaded to one garmin connect account. I name all the activities that are uploaded so i can easily filter to show either my activities or my wife's.

I have now decided it would be better to have 2 separate garmin connect accounts in order to utilise garmin connect better.

Question is how can I transfer some of the activities from one garmin connect account to garmin connect another?

Why not just upload the activities to the new account through the upload button?
  • Why not just upload the activities to the new account through the upload button?

I have over 200 activities which I would need to manually configure and add Activity Names, types, etc, which yes I could do manually, but I was hoping for an easier way...

Ahh... I can see how my suggestion could be daunting.
  • Its quite simple, logon to account1, go into the activity itself, on the menu bar there is an option to "export", select and export as a GPX file to a location on your PC. Now logoff as account 1 and logon as account 2. Use the upload pushbutton and then select "manual upload" this will allow you to select a file from your PC (the one you have just exported from account 1) and will upload it into account 2.

    Job done.

For a few activities not a problem, but for 100's of activities, doing each one manually would take hours!

I also save all my data using the Garmin Training Center PC application, so I was able to easily sort the activities between myself and my wife.

I was then able to export a TCX file which contained all the activities from my wife and upload it to Garmin connect. This uploaded all the tracks and data, but I still had to manually change the names of all the activities. I then went into the original garmin connect account and delete my wifes's activities, so it only showed mine.

It took a little while, but I got there in the end.
