Shoe Tracking - Garmin Connect

Need I say more, it´s been years since folks first brought this up as a much needed feature for Garmin Connect. I am still using another website in addition to Garmin Connect JUST to track my shoes´ mileage. Come on, it shouldn´t be that complicated to add this type of feature. You already have the best customer service out there. It would be great if you could also make sure that you are the ones providing the best software for using your own products. Thanks.

+1 here. A “shoe tracker” feature that will allow you to track >1 mileage on one pair of shoes; I can do it elsewhere but inconvenient. I want my Garmin Forerunner & Connect to be my one and only run centre.

Cannot understand what is taking Garmin so long on this - virtually every other activity tracker has this, and it's a very useful function, obviously wanted by a lot of people - it almost seems like they're willfully ignoring this request.
  • Alas... we still wait, what a crock!

If Nike can do it, why can't Garmin?

I'm using the "shoedometer-App" on the iPhone für this, but it would be so much easier to just use one Software. I always look around for Features that the competitors have.

As soon someone offers everything I want:
-Pulse reading w/o waistband (several already do)
-GPS tracking of my runs (Garmin does a great Job here)
-Fitness analyzing (again Garmin does what I want)
-easy sync with Computer (Garmin does it easy enough)
-Shoe and Sporting good usage tracking (I Need several shoes in there and a warning, when a pair reaches a distance I set.)

I will buy that product! And so will many other too!

This is a BIG HOLE in GC....for every runner this is a serious feature in order to track shoes mileage

Add me to this list. This should be a simple update. All the data is already there.
  • This is DEFINITELY a needed feature. If Garmin had shoe tracking, I wouldn't be running with a Nike watch on my other hand.

I completely agree. This is a needed feature. Do any Garmin representatives reply to these posts?

If Garmin Connect had a way to track shoe usage I would only use this site, everything else works well for me. Until that time I will continue to use Sporttracks. It is sad something so obvious would go ignored so long. Certainly the garmin developers are not runners.

Listen up Garmin, running shoes wear out long before they look worn out.
