Shoe Tracking - Garmin Connect

Need I say more, it´s been years since folks first brought this up as a much needed feature for Garmin Connect. I am still using another website in addition to Garmin Connect JUST to track my shoes´ mileage. Come on, it shouldn´t be that complicated to add this type of feature. You already have the best customer service out there. It would be great if you could also make sure that you are the ones providing the best software for using your own products. Thanks.

+1 for me too. I would really like to minimize the number of websites I use to log my exercise. I use DailyMile.com just for the shoe tracking; plus I can upload my Garmin info directly from my watch. But it's one more step in tracking data.

Seriously... 4 years to add the simplest of features
  • I recommend everyone try Strava. You can use tapirrik to auto sync your Garmin Connect data over to Strava and Strava easily tracks shoe/equipment mileage. I don't use Strava for anything other than shoe mileage and they do a nice job showing gradient and grade adjusted pace. I gave up...tired of waiting for Garmin to actually listen to their customers.
  • +1 It's incredible that such an important feature is not supported by Garmin Connect!

I, like everybody else, would also like this feature. I basically have to log my runs twice so I can track the mileage on my shoes.
  • I'm pretty sure I've said this before as well but if you put some text in your activity title with the sneaker name/model (for ex I use the Saucony Kinvara 5 so I use "KIN5") then you can easily search all activities with that text and add up the mileage. This is no excuse for Garmin but it at least works. Now I just automatically sync to Strava as well since they easily handle shoe mileage.

Totally agree! Most requested feature I'm sure. I'm also using the description section where I copy and paste for every run...I use two pairs of shoes and update it manually!

4 years ago when I started running I used the Adidas miCoach and even at that time the miCoach site had this. All you had to do was add your shoes to a main list once and then select them from a drop down list for each activity. The tracker would automatically add up the mileage right from the activity!! Totally ground breaking programming at that time! ;)

Please add the ability to track mileage on shoes. It's a very helpful tool
  • I still want equipment tracking for shoes and bikes!
