Need I say more, it´s been years since folks first brought this up as a much needed feature for Garmin Connect. I am still using another website in addition to Garmin Connect JUST to track my shoes´ mileage. Come on, it shouldn´t be that complicated to add this type of feature. You already have the best customer service out there. It would be great if you could also make sure that you are the ones providing the best software for using your own products. Thanks.
Was thinking exactly about doing this feature request, but fortunately found this thread. Definitely +1 for me. If you have more than 1 pair of running shoes, tracking mileage per pair is pain in the a**.
So, feature request:
Ability to specify one or many running shoes (i.e. just a list of names),
Ability to assign which shoe should be the default for each Running activity
Ability to change default shoe to another shoe in the activity edit view.
+1 for me. Right now, I have to add a note in my activity header that says "New Shoes", but this only allows for one pair at a time. Shoes could just be another dimension of the activity fact.

Agreed, and this has been discussed for years now, or at least it seems like it. I put a 3-letter code in my activity name to designate the shoe worn, such as BA2 (Brooks Adrenaline 2nd pair). Later, I can export all to a CSV for tracking shoe mileage.
+1 for me. I am really surprised to see that this request was sent in 2010 and this feature is still not available. Adding a tag to the name of the activity is a workaround but that is not really convenient. Many other tools offer shoe tracking and this is the only reason I am using Jogmap to track the kilometers for my set of running shoes.
Connect is a big step forward compared to Training Center and it would be great if the developers would listen to the ideas of the users.
