Error with 910XT Uploading file to G. Connect

I am trying to upload data from my 910XT to the Garmin Connect site. I do this daily and have never had an issue. Today my swim data will not uploaded and I received the error "One of your files was not accepted by the system. Please contact Support for assistance."

I can view the data on the screen of the device but it is not uploading. I have tried it several times, tried rebooting the watch and computer.

I am uploading to a MACBookPro running OSX 10.8.2 and no issue has presented itself while running this operating system until today. I was able to upload a 1/2 marathon as recently as yesterday. It is important to me that this data be imported for review. Please help.

Found the FIT file and Garmin was unable to repair. Anyone know any other tricks?

After talking to customer support, Garmin was unable to repair the attached FIT file. Anyone out there know how to pull a rabbit out of a hat?

  • I ran it thru an online converter and the resulting GPS track had 145 points, but they just show a short northward line starting right at N 0 00 00 E 0 00 00 (at the Equator where it intersects the Prime Meridian). There were no timestamps associated with the data points either. Maybe your 910XT didn't have GPS satellite lock, but I'm not sure why the timestamps would be missing even in that case.

Thanks for looking Jim. It was a pool swim actually, so the GPS was off. It was just counting speed, laps, etc. Garmin just emailed me a semi-fixed version of the file. For some reason all of the file data is off by two marks. 23 yard lengths vs 25. 4 minute intervals vs 2, etc. Thank you for taking the time to look into this!
