Etrex HCX won't follow tracks

Hi there,

Has anyone else had any trouble getting the HCX to follow tracks? I had a CSX before which I thought was identical, but when I load the tracks onto the GPS there's no way to actually get it to follow them - I have to manually move the map around as I go, which is hard on a motorcycle on dirt roads!
(but not impossible ;))

    Not sure what you mean by needing to follow them? A track is a track, you have to follow it. Same with a route. If you go off the track or route your location remains centred in the display, that's the way all my GPS (both auto and handheld) work ... or maybe you mean something different?

    Something sounds wrong there, doesn't sound like your map position is updating and once you've selected a track it should stay on the screen. I'd try a hard reset first to see if that cures it ...
