whats a good way to learn about using gps maps etc

Hi there, i have just bought a garmin fenix and wondered whats a good way of learning how to use gps and maps (downloading and uploading)etc especially setting up maps on an iphone using basecamp. The manual is not much help and just sticks to the very basics.
When i go to garmin to buy maps it says there are no maps for the fenix, Basecamp is not an option either
any help appreciated?

Hi,

U can not load maps on a iPhone using Basecamp, and u can not add maps to a Fenix, it works on it's own basemap. There are ways to replace the map with a map with some more detail, but that's not official. Check the watchUseek forum for some more tips on that.

thanks for that, i'm not sure how to get maps into basecamp for the pc even, there did not seem to be any on the garmin web site. one seemed to need a specific device to get a map(it says that there are no maps for the fenix). can one change the basecamp mobile map?, once one gets of the road its not a lot of use.

You can't buy maps for BaseCamp on the pc, because you need to have a device that supports maps... (a map will be locked to a device)

No, Basecamp will us the maps that are installed on the device.
