  • Oregon x50 firmware v6.10 released today.

    http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4523

Changes made from version 6.00 to 6.10:

    * Improved ascent and descent calculations.

Nothing said about the Tempe tracklog bug but it may be fixed. I don't have the time to check until later today.

    Fixed?

It appears to be fixed even though the release note say nothing.

Tempe is appears not font match.

Is anyone in garmin screen simply looks the screen to see the result of the changes?

is shocking to see the lack of quality control in the changes implemented ....

Just take a look at the screen to see that the font size is different and overlapping the temperature label!!

I have just updated my Oregon 550 to software version 6.10 and found that in their notes, they have now stated a fix for the Tempe being uploaded in the gpx file. I've tested it and it appears to be working as I've deleted todays current tracks and re-uploaded them to Garmin Connect and there is the Temp information, however, the temperature range varies between 30 oC and -20 oC. I admit I have felt a bit cold, but come on Garmin I don't think it ever got that cold or warm even. Now that I've updated the software I will retest and see if te results improve. I hope that they look to include a graph as they do with elevation / pressure options so that you track the temp rise / fall from the device throughout the day

The temperature readings I saw (inside) after updating to 6.10 were accurate. That said I haven't performed a real-world outdoor hiking test because it's a bit chilly here for that now. I was thinking of attaching my tempe to my vehicle (out of the wind somewhere) and creating a real track that way.
