How are you downloading the track? I haven't tried it with the Oregon yet, but the only way I got it to work with the 62s was using BaseCamp in Windows.

    Two ways ...

    1) Dowloading directly from Garmin/GPX/Current ... the temperature is not
    registered in the file

    2) From Basecamp, nothing about temperature in the graph mode.

I have an Oregon 450 with firmware 6.00 (released a few days ago) and a tempe and can confirm this bug.

The temperature can be viewed in the Trip Computer screen (configured to) etc so data is being received.

My track log is set to record 1 point per sec.

I also looked at the GPX file directly (in a text editor).

Edit: Doesn't matter if you "save" the Current Track. The saved GPX doesn't contain temperature data either.

Edit:#2 Reported to Garmin support () as a Bug Report. I request others do the same.

I am also having troubles. My GPS (Oregon 450) registers the ambient temperature (and pretty accurately, I might add), but when I attempt to download to BaseCamp, I cannot access the information. I have attempted downloading several different ways, and all come up negative.

    Reported to both and

Cadence sensor is not recognized by the Oregon 450T. I did a reset. The Heart rate sensor and TEMPE sensor are connected and show the resutls on my screen. X50 version 5.90 or 6.00 did not make any difference.

I contacted Garmin's Support Team last night via , and received two emails from their team today. Here is the final response: "Thank you for that information. Unfortunately, our outdoor devices do not save temperature information and as a result it is not something that can be viewed in BaseCamp at this time. If you feel this is a feature that you would like to have added, please submit your idea at the following link www.garmin.com/ideas. This portal allows you to submit your idea directly to our innovation experts. "

I promptly responded by linking them back to their own website: http://garmin.blogs.com/softwareupdates/2012/08/tempe-sensor.html

I also quoted their own website (as found within the above link): “Second, once connected to a tempe sensor, your handheld will record the temperature with each trackpoint it saves. This information is available for review when your device is connected to BaseCamp, our free tool from trip planning & review. With your device connected to BaseCamp, simply select your recent track in BaseCamp by double-clicking it, then select the Graph tab and choose Temperature from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner.”

I am hoping that this is resolved, for it it is not, I feel that we have been greatly misled.

I haven't received any reply to my email yet.

I agree. The main reason I purchased a tempe was to record temperature in track logs. As you pointed out this ability was advertised in their own blog post.

Yes, the temperature should be recorded on the track according to published advertising
