Starting Dakota 20 ????

After starting Dakota 20 on the screen appears text:
.."loading waypoints, tracks, and routes....."

and nothing happened more................

I have made an update for Software, nothing appears.
I can connect Dakota 20 with the PC with a 30 sec powerONbutton and I can read the contence
but I don't know what else......

What can I do ????

I have experienced exactly the same problem with my Dakota 20. Basecamp refuses to recognise the device as well so do not know what to do next.

ever since the last update garmin had for the dakota 20 base maps don't work, and us and canada topo maps don't work! Even did new installs but still don't work! But now if I connect to base camp! It shows all maps installed and etc. tried to talk to their tech support but they act stupid! What made it worse! I didn't know it wasn't working! Till i was on a snowmobile trip and the thing didn't show stuff it should of! That always worked before!!! Any one else having problems with their dakotas also! and if able to fix what did you do?
