after i hike, i upload my latest hikes to garmin connect. usually it detects my hikes and uploads easily. but last two times ive tried, it just hangs up. it detects my gps, shows i have 2 logs. seems to be uploading them, then it just stops at 98% completed and does nothing. ive tried manually doing it and it just hangs up. im using a 60csx and it has fresh batteries.
Thought it was my computer.
Thought it was my device, Dakota 10, and upgraded software.
Installed fresh batteries and went for another ride today. My computer sees the device and the new activities but can never complete the upload.
This thing is nearly useless without being able to upload activities.
Aloha Howzitboy. Didn't know you were here too. Same problem. Started sometime after August 26th as my upload for that Sunday went OK. Tried one from this past Wed and today. Bummer, how am I gonna keep track of my milage on my 400 mile quest? I'm using the GPS MAP 60Cx
im just hoping they get it fixed before my next hike. i dont know how to keep the data in my gps so i can log another hike. usually i delete previous hike so my gps shows the stats for my latest hike. guess time to read the manual. anyone know how to download to computer? maybe save it that way till this site gets fixed.
I'm having the same problem with a Dakota 20 after months of daily uploads with no problems. It sounds like a problem on the server side. To work around the problem I save the portion of the track I want via the menus (to avoid including a fragment from the previous day, which will mislable the track to the wrong date), then use the manual upload option which means I navigate to the saved file then upload. I hope garmin gets this issue fixed soon.
Same problem here with a 76CSx after years of uploading without issue. I own 3 Garmin devices, but this sure doesn't make me want to stay loyal. Does Garmin support even read these threads?
I haven't been able to upload .fit files from my Forerunner 210 for the past two weeks. I use the manual upload and it just doesn't work any more. I have been able to transfer the files to my Android phone and manually upload them from there, but this is a real faff.
