Pace calculation errors in edited activities

This has been driving me nuts, and I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem, or if Garmin is aware of the issue so it can be fixed...

I use my Garmin when I run laps at an indoor track. Obviously, I turn off the GPS for such a workout, but I use the lap counter to time and count my laps, and then upload the workout to GC where I do a Full Edit to add in the distance I ran. In the Full Edit screen, when I type in the distance, the pace automatically calculates correctly. For example, yesterday's run was 5 miles in 46:27, corresponding to a pace of 9:17. In the Full Edit screen, the pace showed up as 9:17. But as soon as I clicked Save and returned to the activity screen, the pace was changed. In this case, it was changed to 9:14. But it can vary either way, either higher or lower than the actual pace. (And yes, I get a lot more annoyed when the pace changes to a slower one ).

What is the deal with this? Has anyone else run across this problem? I'd say it happens to ALL of my indoor runs where I do a Full Edit to add a distance. I don't have the problem with my outdoor runs, but then again, I don't ever do a Full Edit on my outdoor runs because the distance is already logged.

GC is clearly capable of correctly calculating pace, because I see it calculated correctly in the Edit screen... so why does it change after I hit Save???
