How do I associate my old Garmin 405 with a new Garmin Connect account?

I recently purchased a new Garmin Forerunner 610. I would like to pass my old Garmin 405 along to my husband. How do I associate my old Garmin 405 to a new account for my husband? I don't want his data being uploaded to my account. Also, will my new 610 guide me to connect to my current Garmin Connect account when I connect it to my computer for the first time? I want to make sure my new 610 data goes to my current connect account.

I could still use some help with this if anyone knows how to do this?
  • Presumably hubby has loaded the Garmin ANT Agent on his computer and uploaded a workout or two from his watch. Now if he logs on to his own Garmin Connect account at the website and requests an upload, I don't see why or how the activities would go to your account. Doesn't it just work correctly, loading into his own Garmin Connect account?

Maybe if you post the steps you've already tried we'll be able to help you better.

I just did this exact thing and don't have it all sorted out yet. But you can make sure that his workouts dont go to your connect account by right clicking on the ant agent and choosing 'device settings'. Then you can remove the old device from your list of devices that you are connected to and just keep the new device. Hope this helps.

Sorry, meant the ant agent icon pinned on your task bar.
