Route changes when sent to Nuvi 1450LMT

I have been using Garmin GPS's for some time and used MapSource for a long time.

I got a Nuvi 1450LMT not too long ago and applied a software update recently and found that I have BaseCamp. Since I just upgraded to a new laptop and did not have the most recent version of MapSource, I decided to try BaseCamp.

So that makes me a new user to BaseCamp and and to the Nuvi 1450LMT (prior to this I had the StreetPilot 2610).

I created a route in BaseCamp and sent it to my Nuvi, but the route is different. I can't figure out why transferring it to the unit would chane the route.

I called support and was told that my avoidance preferences were different between BaseCamp and the unit. So I matched them up, deleted the route off my unit, then sent the route from my PC again.

No change. It changes the route at the same point. I never had this issue with MapSource.

Any ideas why this would happen and what I can do to fix it?
