I have seen a lot of questions about this problen but never seen any answers... Updating Nuvi Maps. Apparently my 2460LT came with automatic lifetime updates. Not so. My maps are 1-2 years old and is proving very difficult to update, on the Garmin site it gives me 2 different prices and the Garmin phone number wont answer. Has anyone upgraded their maps successfully and how much did it cost? This should have been an easy process - very disappointed with Garmin!

Most likely the 2 prices are for one time updates and the other is for lifetime updates.I believe prices are like 69.99 and 89.99. If you buy lifetime maps just download garmin lifetime updater.

If it's an LT model it doesn't have lifetime maps, the designation for that is LM or LMT (lifetime maps with traffic) ;)

Downloading Garmin map updates isn't that difficult, decide what you want to pay for (one time or lifetime) then follow the prompts.

Thank you for your replies... Finally got an email from garmin and the price for updating is $169, wow, even more than I thought. My only other option is to 'get lost' :D
