Problems connecting device to garmin connect

I'm trying to reconnect my garmin via ant stick - have recently reset my password on garmin connect

the software sees the stick and then asks me to authenticate my account - i enter my username and password and i get an error message saying "cannot communicate with garmin connnect, network error 2". Have reinstalled all software and restarted and also tried ie (this is on chrome)

ideas?

    Just guessing here. You might need to put garmin.com into "Compatibility View".
    Chrome uses standard Windows Internet Explorer settings.
    Open Windows IE.
    Over on right side near the top click > Tools > Compatibility View Settings > enter garmin.com into the Add this website box > Add > Close.

    See if you can open your garmin account with IE. If you can then Chrome will work also.
    If IE will not work then something else is wrong.

    Also this thread is an older one, i was having the same problem since 4 days and as i was looking arounf i noticed that garmin ANT Agent didn't find an Internet connection.
    But i have a active connection usinf Firefox.
    So i looked in my IE and IE stated it was "offline" for some strange configuration problems (although it was online... IE :-P )
    So i got "online" in IE and after that the Ant Agent transfer did its work.

    So the ant Agent transfer is somehow connected to Windows IE, dont know how and why but it solved the problem for me, even if i still dont use IE.
