Garmin Connect and Facebook.

When I share a workout from Garmin Connect to Facebook, my distances in miles. I want them in kilometers. My watch are set to kilometers, my Garmin Connect account is also set to km. Before I share the workout from Garmin Connect account the distances are in kilometers, but when the link is opened on Facebook, it changed to mil. What am I doing wrong?

I get an error message when I try to use it.

Everybody else: you do not seriously think that Garmin is in a hurry to fix this? I have been a reluctant user (there is not much else) for years and my experience here has been that Garmin's main interest is selling expensive hardware and faulty software, never mind customers' expectations. Faulty/buggy software takes years to fix, if ever, The day someone better comes along, I will shift in a heartbeat, and this after having been through 10+ watchers and 4-5 handheld GPS units.

This is very poor customer relations that this hasn't been fixed. Smeels like big greedy corporation

Hi, could you please tell me what was the error?

I have tested on some computers and it worked, but it could be a different Chrome version or Operational System.

I have tested on Windows 7 and MAC OS Maverick.

    Thank you very much!

I think the problem occurs in the communication between the chrome plugin and facebook.
    Facebook displays:
"An error occurred. Please try again later."

    edit:
Now, a day later, I tried it again and it works perfectly! Nice to see that some people do care about the needs of people that use the metric system!

I've been having the same issue, just reversed - my workouts are in miles, but they show up on FB in metric. I recently purchased a new watch and had the new version of Connect forced on me, so I'm unclear which of the two changes broke it. My old 210 worked fine when sharing workouts to FB. It's only been since using the 310xt with the new Connect that I've had this issue.

I have the exact same/opposite problem. I always set up for miles/statue and once I share facebook or connect switches it to metric. When I hit the view in Statute button it doesn't change. I don't know if it is the watch, connect or a facebook problem but my OCD can't take this.
  • Hi. Sorry if question sucks but how do I share workouts on FB? The 'Share' link does not work. Thanks
