Should be able to trim an activity and add splits after uploading

Wouldn't think such basic editing would have to be written up as a feature request. I don't think my garmin device has a "split feature". In spite of that I continue to use it rather than replace it or throw it away. Would be nice if I could add splits after uploading to garmin connect from my garmin device.

On the subject of editing, it would be nice if I could trim the garbage from the beginning and end of my activities.

Just adding my voice here - I've just taken the plunge and bought a 910xt, at the finish of a race I thought I'd stopped the watch but mustn't have hit the button square on, and it continued recording for about half an hour while I wandered around the recovery area. No problem, I thought, I'll just edit it in Garmin Connect. Amazed to find you can't trim data, it's a fundamental item for a site like this. Data for that run is now much less useful (my average pace is now ridiculous), and it's really annoying. Given this, the hassles I had updating the firmware and the wonky uploading via the ANT Agent which happens sometimes, Garmin really doesn't seem to have their act together on software. Would be hard to recommend Garmin to anyone at this point.

Is this still the case with the new 620? I find it annoying you can't edit data on splits.

What's the purpose of this "Feature request" portion of the forums if no one from Garmin says anything about such a requested feature?!?

Yep, add me to this feature request too... the amount of times I've forgotten to hit the stop button after I cross a finish line, surely this is just common sense?

Garmin only looses Users, when they continue not to develop basic features such as this one :(

well I just want to say I agree that there should be the ability to trim an activity using Garmin Connect and that I also don't get why there is a feature request forum when none of the very popular suggestions are taken up and that Garmin's software is a massive detractor from using its products because its software sucks. But it's already been said. Many times. So it just seems futile...Hello......anybody........

And another year goes by. Still no cropping. I'd say I'm amazed, except that since I started using Garmin Connect, Garmin hasn't added one single feature to the platform that I've found useful. I think they did add features in the last couple years. There was some sort of Dashboard thing and the home page is different. I don't ever look at the Dashboard though, and the homepage has nothing related to me. For a while there I got (incorrect) notifications about my firmware being out of date, but fixed that with some ad-blocking software (I simply removed the notification DIV).
