How about a standard ANT + protocol so we can add data to RunKeeper, FitBit, and a host of other apps that all seem to have worked out the sharing issues...
You could take a look at http://garminsync.com, this service allows you to automatically copy activities from Garmin Connect to Runkeeper and then take advantage of the sharing features on RunKeeper.
