I can't find another "Feature Requests" forum within the Garmin forums, so hopefully this will reach the right people somehow.
Both the Montana and Oregon units (really, all of the higher capacity, newer units as I understand) lack a simple way to show or hide all the tracks loaded on the unit. The user must select each track in the track manager and select "Show On Map" then back out of that track's menu and go on to the next track in the list. This is slow and tedious when more than a few tracks are loaded and it is absolutely ridiculous when the limit of 200 tracks (or close to) are loaded. When the units are reset or lose power for a long enough period of time they also revert to hiding all of the tracks. This is totally unacceptable for trying to navigate by tracks and track segments.
As a minimum, I request that tracks loaded on the unit be shown on the map by default. Ideally I would like to see a menu from the Track Manager page on each unit structured something like:
"Show All Tracks"
"Hide All Tracks"
"Erase All Tracks"
"Sort Tracks Alphabetically"
"Sort Tracks By Proximity"
"Sort Tracks By Date [Created]"
The same menu system could apply to Routes and Waypoints as well. I use Waypoints as markers and almost never use Routes for the type of navigation I do, but the menu system would make both far more useful.
I know it is possible to show all of the tracks that are loaded onto the device by selecting them one-by-one and picking "Show On Map", but this is far too cumbersome and it is especially frustrating when the unit is inadvertently reset or loses power. These units need this critical functionality to be as useful for me and many other users as the old 60Csx was. I cannot think of a single instance where this functionality would be bothersome and it would only add to the usefulness and desirability of the units.
