:( I got the same error message trying to load the map update I just purchased for my Nuvi 205. I tried to call Customer support but couldn't stay on hold for the next available person in 15 min. Hope I didn't just waste $90 on updates I can't load.
I got this Out of Date Plug In Exception error when I attempted to register my Nuvi and check for any map updates. Does anyone know the work around for this and how can I correct this issue?:(
Had the same issue trying to update my Nuvi 1490. Finally figured it out. If you have the life time update option, you need to download the Lifetime Updater program. Here is the link:
I had the same registration problem with a Nüvi 40LM, except that the wait time was announced at "more than 30 minutes", so I tried registering from Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer and things seemed to go OK.
