Moving Waypoints to Non-Roads

Hi

I have planned a course using Garmin Connect and uploaded it to my device just fine. Now when driving that route, I discovered that one way is closed and now I want to make a change in that course so that it reflects the new road. This road is not yet listed in Google Maps (or whatever Garmin Connect uses as map source).
Now when changing the course, I can drag&drop waypoints easily and it will display them nicely on the map. Yet, I need to set a few waypoints outside the road, therefore I clear the checkmark "Stay on roards" and move the point where I would like it to be.
Now I am presented with a continuous "Loading" sign which will never stop. I can only click "Cancel" which will take me back, the point is lost (or to be more exact: It is where it was before) when I open the course the next time.

Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong? When I did the initial planning of the course, I didn't have any problems setting points to "Non-Roads".

Kind regards
