Hi I'm really hoping someone can help me here with a technical issue.
I recently purchased a Garmin Forerunner 310xt. I also use a PC with windows XP.
I followed the instructions within the manual.
I installed the communicater plugin (i think thats what you call it). I then tried to install the USB driver though I was unable to do so as i did not have service pack 3. I installed sp3 and then installed the Garmin software. Still when I plugged in the ant device it was asking me for the driver.
I then went into My Computer> Manage and uninstalled the Ant Usb stick. Closed down the computer. Restarted. Installed the driver (downloaded from the garmin website) again plugged in the ant usb stick and still no joy. Repeatedly asking me for the driver. The software downloaded is a .exe file therefore I wasn't even able to point my computer at the file when it requested the location of the driver. I uninstalled the usb device numerous times and tried installing the driver with the stick in and the stick out of the usb socket but there was no joy.
I then went to the ant website and downloaded the ant driver and installed this. Finally my computer recognised the Ant Stick. Brilliant I thought. Unfortunately I am unable to find any device. Same message time in and time out. I have tried different usb ports on my computer.
Very frustrating. Has anyone any other ideas? Please :)
