Default Start Point on Create a Course Map

Firstly, I'm very new to Garmin, having just taken delivery of my shiny new Edge 800. So appologies if this is obvious, but:

Is there a way to put a default Home or Start point into Garmin Connect, so that when I go into 'create course', it automatically opens the map there?
I have this set up on Google maps and it's seems like an obvious feature to me, but I can't work out how to do it on Garmin Connect.
Everytime I start to create course, Im beamed into Germany somewhere

There is currently no option to setup your default starting point. I put in my home address when I create new courses, as my default starting point is Columbus GA (130 miles south of me). I suggest requesting this as a feature request.

Did this ever get resolved? The majority of my rides are in Valencia, Spain, yet the "create course" map defaults to Madrid. My settings' time zone is "Central European", so it's not taking it from there. If it's using my internet connection to work out I'm in Spain, why can't it be more accurate?

Even the annoying "meet hot girls in your area" ads that appear on other web pages know I'm in Valencia, so why can't Garmin work it out?

Default Start Point

Please can Garmin add the default start point for courses to be added. Currently in the UK it is central London. This would be useful when creating courses and when searching for courses in your area.

PLEASE add the custom default starting point to map create page! Every basic mapping app has this.
