GPX Woes

I have 3 Garmin units: Nuvi205W (use on motorcycle), Nuvi 755 and a Nuvi 40LM.
I have spent approximately 4-5 hours (literally) mapping out a set of four legs of a route for a trip this weekend. I have used the Honda Trip Planner, Base Camp and Map Source. I keep getting GPX files on an SD card (tried two different cards) but neither of the GPS devices seem to find those GPX files/routes. I have read/reread/re-reread etc the instructions for exporting the files and I have gotten exactly nowhere.
Can someone tell me in short, concise terms how do I get my GPS to accept those 4 GPX files. I would like to have them on the Nuvi205W but I don't believe it will accept exported files for use. My second choice would be the Nuvi 755.
Thank you.
  • The 205 and the 40 cannot load routes from gpx files.
The 755 can use routes from gpx files, but you have to import them first via Tools > My Data > Import Route from File.
Make sure that the 4 files are in the map Garmin\GPX on the device.
