Unable to calculate route

I bought by Garmin 1260t because of its "enhanced pedestrian mode". I also got the CityXplorer map for Boston as well. I just did a quick test to see how it would go. I used the subway station I use which is just outside the city as a starting point, and I picked Harvard Museum of Natural History, (which is in the Garmins list of POI's), which also has a subway station right near by as my destination. Instead of directions like "get on the train in front of you" I get "Unable to calculate route to destination". I find this extremely discouraging and now severely regret my purchase of both the CityXplorer map and the device.

I should point out that I wasn't actually at the subway station, I just used that as my "virtual" starting point. People at my work thought that this might make a difference, but I'm not feeling very optimistic.

ps I love how after I log in and try to start a new thread I'm told I need to log in and when I do it says my log in info is incorrect... even though I'm already logged in.

Edit: So I took my Garmin into Boston today and it performed great. Other than one time when I got off at a different subway to change trains than it suggested its directions for both walking and riding the "T" were spot on. My apologies to Garmin for comments made earlier. (As long as it keeps working as well that is.)
