Incorrect speed displaying on Garmin Edge 500

Hi Guys

I'm hoping that some of you have come across this issue, and that my device isn't faulty!
I have been happily using my Edge 500 for the past 10 days with no issues, cadence, HR, speed, GPS all working fine (I don't use powertap yet)..

Today, when jumping on the bike, I noticed my speed was showing some ridiculous numbers, such as jumping from 0 to 15km when I was travelling at probably 30km/h …as a result at the end of my 52km ride shows only 15km total distance.
I tried to reset the unit several times with no luck.

What else can I try?
The cadence, HR, GPS works fine, only the speed and distance is proving to show funny results all the time now.

Hope to hear from you.

I have the same issue. Started after about 7 months of use.
If you reset your "auto" wheel size in the bike settings it will temporarily fix the issue. Or if you know your wheel circumfurance just insert it as a "custom" setting.
I'm going to update to 3.0 and if that doesn't work i'll upload my data and reset the unit.
