When sharing to non-logged people - change from KM to Miles

Hi!
In my preferences, I put the Metric preferences. So I calculate my distance in kilometers instead of miles.

It works fine, except when I share an activity to someone by email. When they click the link, all stats are based on Miles instead of Kilometers. Why Garmin would select by default Miles, while I chose to have it in Kilometers?

Thanks
  • As I understand it, when you set your preference, it doesn't set how you show your activities, but sets how you see your activities and everyone else's too. Garmin being American-based, the default is miles so that's what people will see if they're not logged in.

The idea is that you get to see activities in whatever units you're most comfortable with, which doesn't seem unreasonable. Myself, I'd prefer to be able to have a default view and to customise it for specific activities (I tend to think in minutes per mile except for 10k and 5k races where I'd sooner be thinking in min/km, and the current setup doesn't really lend itself to that).
