Activity charts all blank and elevation corrections set to disabled

Can you anyone shed any light on why the Timing and Elevation charts are blank? None of my activities back to 2010 show anything.

Also I notice that the elevation correction on randomly selected activities is set to "disabled" when I have religiously set it to "enabled".
  • If it's any consolation, I did a search and do see a large number of publicly visible cycling activities for your username. Here's an example from Sep 2011 and Apr 2010. Most recent was last Saturday, 45mi to Devon & back.

They show you're using an Edge 705 (firmware 3.30.0.0 now but 3.10.0.0 earlier) with elevation corrections disabled. Timing and elevation charts are full of information (not blank) when I peeked at your activities.

Maybe just clear your browser cache and possibly cookies, then try again? Good luck!
  • Jim, thanks for taking a look and confirming that you can see timing and elevation charts full of information, however I still cannot in my Garmin Connect account view.

I'd already tried the obvious things of clearing my IE 8 browser cache and cookies, but no joy.

I tried a PC at work and one with IE 9 worked (without clearing cache etc.), but IE7 doesn't. I also tried a PC with Mozilla and the charts show up and they also display when I view on a Blackberry Torch!

So I'm presently at a loss apart from defecting to Strava.com or upgrading to IE9.

Anyone else having the sameproblems with charts not displaying on IE8?

    Same here.
I can see the map but all of the other charts are blank.

  • This mystery deepens. But there is good news as it's all suddenly working again.

Like Rustywash, I also loaded up Chrome on the home PC and the charts showed up fine. Still no joy on IE8 on the home PC having again cleared everything from the IE cache and reinstalled Java.

Having successfully seen them on a work PC running IE9, I double-checked on a home laptop also on IE9, but they weren't showing!

And now, this morning, on work PC's, the charts are now showing up ok on IE7 and IE8!!!

All this leads me to think there's some sort of rendering setting glitch at the Garmin Connect end? Will we ever know? Does anyone care?

Strava.com grows ever more attractive as an alternative...watch your backs Garmin.
