Problems upload GPX files to Garmin Connect.

I have downloaded 3 GPX files to my desktop (its a 3 day mountain bike tour that i am wanting to do - trans cambrian way) from the following website:
www.imba.org.uk/.../

When i go into Garmin Connect to manually upload these routes GPX1 (for day 1) works great. I then try to repeat the process for GPX2 (day 2) and a red cross appears at the manual upload area saying i have already uploaded the data! It then shows me the course for day 1, not day 2!

I am sure i must be doing something wrong but cannot work out what.

It's not just you. I downloaded the three GPX formatted files and had the same problem as you did. After I successfully uploaded the Day 1 file, the Day 2 file failed claiming it duplicated an already-uploaded course.

Next I fired up Garmin Training Center (TC) & did successfully load all of the files (TransCambrian Day 1, 2, and 3) in that application. They show up in History, not as Courses, so I selected each and asked TC to create a course from the activity (you have to click on the activity in the history tab then right-click to get the create-course option). Next I EXPORTED each of the newly-created courses as .tcx files and tried to upload them into Garmin Connect again. I got a green checkmark but right next to it was the message "Some activities could not be created", and there was no TransCambrian course added.

I attached the three TransCambrian .tcx files to this reply in case anyone else has better luck.
