Simple Button Request - Duplicate Course

For anyone wanting to do this here is a ridiculous but working method:

Send course from Connect to device.
Load course from device to Garmin Training Centre
Export course from Garmin Training Centre as GPX file.
Manual Load GPX file as course into Connect
Rename and save.

It's a pain, but it's quicker than redoing the whole course.

As posted elsewhere, this functionality should be there from the day Garmin started Garmin Connect and Training Centre. What is asked here is the same as the "save as" button in Word or Excel. Imagine that in order to copy a Word document or spreasheet you have to type over your entire document, and than save it under a new name. Even in the oldest software I know of ('80s...), the "save as" option was already possible. Now it 2012, and still not possible with Garmin.

At the end, the problem is not that this functionality is not there, but that:
a. Garmin doesn't understand their customers.
b. Garmin doesn't listen to theit customers.

That's disappointing. For that reason, my next GPS will not be a Garmin..

This is a simple, but heartfelt request to the Garmin Connect Dev, give us a button in the Courses that allows us to duplicate the course.

Duplicate/Copy/Export courses

I would like to see this as well.

I'm starting a training program where I will run on the same trail 13, 15, 17, 18, and then 20 miles. I would hate to recreate each course from scratch.

It's 3 months since the original request. I would give them few more weeks to their grace period. I will not threaten with not buying from Garmin in the future - mine is a great piece of hardware. However there are other ways to apply pressure on them, like sharing your thoughts on Facebook/Tweeter or other groups.

Yes, agree with this one. If you actually run the course, you can always save your activity as a new course rather than creating from scratch, then add/edit the extra distance.

I want to reverse and slightly alter a course and save it with a different name :-(

I understand that implementing 'Save as...' may be easier said than done however this is one of those annoyances which shape perception about the site.

A "save as" is a feature common to just about every program known. Except this one. It's time to fix this bug.

How is this still not fixed? Does Garmin read these boards or are they strictly for our own amusement?
