Folks and Support,
For the first time I’m experiencing a severe problem with my beloved and reliable Forerunner 110 and with Garmin Connect – until a small incident. Couple days ago the battery went dead just as I was holding “Reset” button to save the just finished activity (as I always do, good girl). Once I wasn’t able to upload this last activity to Garmin Connect, I wasn’t surprised: From the experience I knew that the activities not saved before the battery went dead were usually corrupt.
Yet to my horror, this time NO ACTIVITY CAN BE UPLOADED ANYMORE! This applies to both all the previous activities on the device, as well as new ones that I recorded after the incident. The device itself seems to be working fine, yet when I try to upload via Connect, it checks the device with the usual running blue line, but then SHOWS NO SINGLE ACTIVITY on the list, just nothing – in both automatic (“upload all new”) and manual (“upload selected”) modes – although the activity files are very well present on the device! (s. attached screenshot)
When I try to manually upload ANY activity file from the device -- regardless from before or after the incident -- Connect reports “An error occurred with your upload. Please try again.”
I had the latest firmware (2.50) on the device already before the incident, and it had been working ok! I’ve also run CHKDSK on the device; it found couple lost sectors but that hasn’t changed anything. I’m shocked. I’ve been planning to use the device for Boston Marathon. Please help! Thank you very much in advance for any hint!
