Cheers, it's on the Garmin connect maps in the red line for your route there are a couple of small white circles with a pale blue border, my first thoughts were they were where I've stopped or paused ?, Sorry don't know how to do a picture
  • Are you referring to a course or your activity? When editing a course you'll see course points, as in the image below.

Cheers, yes that's it. sorry but as a beginner what do course points mean ?. Not sure if I'm answering my own question but I've just put a TT course in and they show up as roundabouts ?
  • In Garmin Connect course points are created when you either create a course from scratch or convert an existing activity to a course. The course points indicate a turn or stop on your course. You typically would save an activity as a course if you wanted to load it back onto your device later so you can follow it.

Many thanks Seilogramp. I only have the edge 200 and coming to terms with the whole gps thing so thanks for your patience. How are the course points determined, how long is a stop before it's marked ? or I've noticed not all turns are always marked as a course point ?.
When I uploaded my TT course only the roundabouts were shown, does this mean it only marks a complete turn ?. I need to get my hands on a CD manual as the manual I have is very limited, I assume the full one comes with the edge 800, can a full manual with all this info on be downloaded from somewhere ?
  • There's no physical manual for Garmin Connect.
There is online help at here.
Here is the manual for the Edge 200

    Thanks again for your help.

The 200 manual is very simplistic. I was wondering if the 800 manual explained stuff like course points etc. There must be so much more to learn than that contained in the 200 manual, didn't think I'd have to constantly go online to reference it ?
