Garmin connect

I'm trying to set up an existing 310XT on a new laptop, I've had a mygarmin account for ages and already have a Garmin connect page with activities recorded. I've now installed everything I need to on the laptop (XP) and everything works until I get to the Garmin Connect Authorization part. I'm entering my usual login details for myGarmin which allows me to use my Garmin connect page yet it won't work and I get a 'network error 12029'.

Any ideas? This has been such a frustrating experience. I'm only doing it as my wife has just bought the 910XT and it seems impossible to have two accounts for two different watches on the same machine (MAC).

Thanks,

M

I am getting the same message & have been unable to solve it - my Garmin is useless unless this can be resolved.
    Please advise!

Same problem for me with a new PC.

I sent an email to garmin support which they logged but tried to reupload the information with my garminconnect login 24 hours later and it worked fine.

The alternative solution I found out in the meantime is if you have a Strava account you can upload the session there directly and then if you still want it on garminconnect download a .gpx file from Strava and upload that back to garminconnect.

    Cheers

Same issue with my brandnew Garmin Swim

Same issue with my brandnew Garmin Swim.

I will try again tommorrow and report if it worked.
Maybe I have to swim before it can be connected? :->

It worked, even if I did not swim ;-)
I ran into another issue when I updated the firmware. But before the firmware could be loaded to the watch, I was able to connect with user-id and password.
After the first part of the Firmware update (to ARV3.400) the watch did nothing but display "CONNECT TO COMPUTER". I had to start the update from the beginning.
