My Nuvi 1490T froze while in use one day and after rebooting it, would not go past the "loading maps" screen. I attempted a factory reset to no avail. Garmin support claims they cannot help me if the device wont go into mass storage mode (which it wont). How can I force it into this mode? There has to be a way to get the firmware restored on this device without needing to drop as much as I originally paid for this unit to have it repaired by Garmin.
