Hi all,
I log my cycle data using a Edge 800 paired to the cadence/speed sensor.
When I view an activity on GC everything looks great - speeds in the range 0 - 30mph with an average between 12 & 14mph.
I then export the activity to .tcx so that I can store the data in a MySQL database for more detailed analysis. When I do this the speed nodes of the tcx file are in the range 0-14 units. Clearly the units aren't in kph as that would give values > 30mph.
Are the units of <speed> in meters per second? If not why are they too low by roughly a factor or 2?
I would very much appreciate any light anyone can shine on the issue.
