Hi all,
I have a particular question regarding the use of the VP on my garmin 310XT. I have a particular hill climb that I am using the VP to race against my PB's. Problem is the hill climb in usually in the middle of a 20-40km activity that i want to record uninterupted.
First question, can I start the "course" (which I have saved onto my garmin previously) when i leave home and the VP will start when I eventually reach the hill climb? I will usually record it as a lap anyway but I don't want the entire ride to be stopped and started just so i can run the VP over that hill climb.
Second question, if I beat my PB on that hill climb, I want to make sure the next time I am racing against the VP I am racing against my PB. As I have not found out how to make a course from one of my previous laps the only way I can do this is by recording the hill climb as a seperate activity and therefore stopping the recording of the 40km ride. Ideally it would either pick up the course and automatically race the quickest time I have done or i should be able to creat a new course from a lap i have set while doing my PB, which i can then upload to my garmin and race.
If I have confused everyone, let me know and I will try to explain it better. otherwise if someone could give me any advice it would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Chris
