Garmin 60csx Saved workouts (newbie question)

I have a 60csx. It's marvelous for bikes. Love it, except that it lacks or haven't properly configured how to save history.

I am familiar and love the forerunner 305. That has workout history, all workouts are saved and I can upload that history to garmin connect.

On 60csx I just finished a 42.3km workout. Was awesome...BUT it's stuck on gps. The only option I have is to reset the workout. When I imported everything from device to mapsource, the workout didn't show up. Only evidence of it is on trip computer. This is vexing b/c wanted to review and analyze that workout with map and details.

I would like to get that workout off gps and onto garmin connect.

I need more options than just "reset" for trip computer?

Maybe I should be using tracks (maybe that's the only way to save workouts)?

Would appreciate way to get this workout onto garmin connect (or even mapsource) and to historically save future workouts too.

Use the tracks. Clear before your ride, stop tracking when ended, the save the track to Mapsource for archival purposes, and anywhere else you wish. Rename your track though, so it won't get overwritten the next time you download one.

Do not save the track on the unit itself as the reduces the number of points to 500 only and you won't save time, speed etc. also.
