upload fails

I tried to upload an activity from my device 310xt TO GARMIN CONNECT.
After the plugin has uploaded the list of activities, I see an empty list.
Also the manual file upload fails.

The data transfer from device (ant agent) to Training Center is working fine.

Find this thread and read - It solved all my issues:

Unable to view Activities beyond page 1
  • I think that is not my problem. It makes no difference which browser I use.

I`m normaly using chrome but I tried also firefox and IE.
I can view all my old activities in garmin connect.
My problem is, that I can not upload new ones TO GARMIN CONNECT.

On uploading selected activities, the communicator plugin seams first to upload a list of the activites from the device. Then it normaly shows this list - but in my case - this list is empty.
And also manual upload from file and uploading all new data fails.

    Cannot load new activities

I have the same issue I think - I cannoty load new activities to my 210 even though my Windows 7 PC can see the device and I have the latest Garmin Coimmunicator Plugin 4.0.1.0
  • I want to load the data from my computer to garmin connect. Problem was also be there with Communicator Plugin 3.

But there are some more threads dealing with the same issue like yours from garmin connect to device.

  • any other ideas than browser compatiblity?

    I had the same issue.
I ended up deleting the history on my Garmin and activities now upload. Apparently one was corrupt and that was causing Connect issues. The thing is, I was able to use Training Center to download this "corrupt" activity without trouble.

I can confirm that. Went round & round with Customer Support to no avail when Connect stopped accepting Upload All New Activities. Discovered I COULD upload Manually from the MicroSD card though. Finally I deleted ALL activity logs from my 60CSx yesterday. Today I was able to upload the current Activity log for my hike in the usual way.

BTW, Dan, did you do anything unusual before the problem occurred? In my case I got a track off the Web and used BaseCamp to creat a Route from it which I then put on the 60CSx. After navigating from that route while logging the track, I could no longer upload Activity logs from main memory... only from MicroSD.

I think Garmin has some issues here but doesn't know it. I advise setting your device to ALSO log to the MicroSD card just in case.

  • Thanks DANSHAP, sounds quit similar, but I'm not able to manualy upload any file to garmin connect. Do not think that deleting activities on my device would help.

I see your line of thinking, but suggest you give it a try. Since you can't upload those existing Active logs anyway, nothing is lost. Delete them all, then take a walk and see if the track uploads.

BTW, have you set your device to ALSO save tracks to the microSD card? If you do that you should always have a fallback if the Upload all fails.
  • I would not write off these other suggestions so quickly ;)
We were not able to manually load the files to Garmin Connect either, until we deleted the suspect/corrupted files. Then we could at least manually dowload new activities, so hubby could still use his 310xt and save the data and view it on GC... and then today I finally figured out how to get the automatic loading to Garmin Connect working again, by deleting "pending files" ( which also still had the corrupt files). So we are back in full action yippee!
Check out my other thread :D
