uploading issues

Hello.

I have tried uploading a course to my 405. When I press the “send to device” button the progress bar appears and completes very quickly before telling me it was successful. However, no courses have been uploaded on to my watch and my watch does not even change during this “upload”.

I have also tried installing the new software, and after downloading my PC tells me it is waiting to be uploaded using my ANT stick. Yet, when I open the ANT stick it just says “active, waiting for data”

Any ideas?

p.s. anyone know why i can only log in to this forum using the area at the top right of the page. If i try when I get the main login-screen (as in when you go to post a thread before loggin in) it doesnt let me.

  • I've been doing it for a long time, but not I can't. The device is detected. I click on Upload new activities. The progress bar shows something going on, as is normal. But then the progress bar disappears, but I do not get the usual list of uploaded activities. No new activities in my list of All activities.

    I've read several threads on this and they seem to point to tIE9 and the Compatibility View issue. However, it performs the same whether or not in Compatibility View.

    Any other ideas?

    I nearly always have trouple with Garmin login. It's alsways throwing up that panel you describe saying I'm not logged in or am unauthorized. But I AM logged in and have no idea why I would be unauthorized to post. If I take the trouble to type my logging UID/PW in that panel it NEVER accepts it.

    If you can see this it DOES let me Reply, even though it won't let me post a new thread.

    And this is not a new issue. I've complained about it for months through Customer Service/Tech support.

    So I too was having a similar issue with uploading. The progress bar would go part way and disappear. Ended up going through the garmin folder on my computer and clearing out all the .fit and .tcx data in it. It had a lot of files, including duplicates. My guess is one of the files may have been corrupt and was messing up the process. After that I was able to upload from FR60 to computer and then seemlessly to garmin connect. Hope it maybe helps.

    I had this same issue with both my Mac and PC. When I deleted all the history on my Garmin I was able to upload. (new runs of course).
