changing the y axis data

Is there a) any reason why the data on the y axis of a graph changes without doing anything and b) is there any way to set it so that it doesn't change?

My route initially had the elevation graph with the y axis going from 0-200feet. I looked lovely for the best part of 4 hours. All of a sudden it has changed and now shows from -200 to +200 feet. Now the graph just looks odd! It has visibly altered.

Similar problem with the heart graph.

Tried FAQs and looked all over settings, to no avail.

Thanks in anticipation

There has been a subtle change.

I noticed this subtle change. What happened to the zoom in zoom out symbols? Please return them because defaulting to a base of -200m results in a lack of profile for flat areas travelled. I also noticed the user can window in on the profile. How useless is this, when the user cannot progress along the x axis. While I'm at it, another pain is not having the profile default to "moving time". Why would the user bother with a profile when resting, (i.e. zero readings except time)?
