Watch says Transfer complete, Garmin connect says Upload failed

Hi,

Sorry if this has been posted before, couldn't find anything. I am trying to upload my Garmin 405CX to my computer via ANT+

It seems to go through the ropes, but at the end it disconnects and the computer gives last connection, then says Activity transfer to Garmin Connect failed. The watch on the other hand states Transfer complete.

What am I doing wrong, please help

    Having the exact same issue.

    Watch says "Transfer Complete"

ANT+ Agent reports "Activity transfer to Garmin Connect failed." Nothing about "From Server" like other posts.

Data does go into Garmin Training Center, but that app isn't very useful. I can then go into GTC, select the uploaded data and hit 'Send To Garmin Connect'. That does work, but that's a real hassle and I don't wish to do that for long.

    Any solutions?
  • Couple of things:

Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, you'll need to add *.garmin.com to the list of trusted sites.
In IE go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites. Uncheck "require server verification." Enter *.garmin.com, click Add, click OK. Close IE. Restart IE.

Also, look for files in a folder called BadFitFiles.
    In Windows 7:
    C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\GARMIN\Devices\<unit ID>\BadFITFiles
Once GAA indicates transfer failure. That would be an indication of corrupted data on your watch.

In Windows Vista and 7 the application data folder is hidden, so follow this in order to unhide it:
